In a cease and desist letter that Maya Henry sent to her just one week before the singer’s death (on October 16 in Buenos Aires),Liam Payne sent, Henry’s lawyers claimed that the singer “repeatedly sent unwanted and disturbing images and videos to Maya Henry and members of Maya’s family.”
The alleged images contain genitals and several other videos of Liam Payne engaging in sexual acts.
The statement also accuses Payne of “actively communicating” to distribute “private images” showing his ex-girlfriend in a “private manner.”
According to the letter, Henry received a direct message on Instagram on October 6 from a woman who claimed that the formerOne Direction-member. She said she and Payne began communicating years ago.
Page Sixhas reviewed a copy of the message, in which the unnamed person claims: “The main reason I contacted him was because he recently started harassing me with emails. When I asked him who he was, he asked me if I wanted to see nude pictures of his current girlfriend.” Liam Payne’s current girlfriend is Kate Cassidy.
The woman told Henry she “absolutely refused” Payne to receive photos of his ex, adding that she wanted Henry to know “that he had asked for it.”
She claims that according to text messages sent to herPage Sixpresent and asked why her phone number was blocked by Payne.
“I didn’t respond to him for a while and he messaged me on my iCloud account, a few different phone numbers, and my Snapchat account,” the woman claimed in the message to Henry.
Henry’s lawyers said they would take “criminal action” or file a civil suit against the singervon Night Changesif he “defames, harasses or threatens” her or her family. The lawyers also pointed out that Henry will seek unspecified damages.
Before his death, Liam Payne said he felt “extremely overwhelmed” by all the legal problems he was facing. Henry has also recently started to go public with the fact that she experienced abuse during her relationship with the singer.
In September 2024, Maya Henry – who dated Payne from 2018 to 2022 – claimed that the singer continued to stalk and contact her even after their breakup.
“Since we broke up, he has been texting me not only from his number, but from several other numbers as well,” Henry shared on TikTok at the time.
Henry also claimed in a podcast interview published on October 14 that Payne exploited his addiction issues to manipulate her.
“Since we split up, he’s been texting me constantly, constantly playing with death, saying, ‘Okay, I’m going to die. I’m not OK.’ One time I asked him to do something for me and he didn’t. Liam texted my mom, ‘I’m not OK, tell Maya to contact me,’ because I didn’t respond,” Henry said inPodcast„The Internet Is Dead “.
Payne’s death is still under investigation in Argentina.
Prosecutors recently ruled out suicide, noting that Payne may have been unconscious before falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palemo hotel and therefore “did not know what he was doing or was not aware of it.”
A toxicology report revealed that Payne had taken several medications that contributed to his depressed mental state at the time of his death. Several witnesses also saw the singer acting “unusually” in his final hours.
A former guest reported seeing Payne smash a laptop in the hotel lobby after receiving an email that apparently upset him.
So far, three people have been charged in connection with the death of the former member of the boy band One Direction: Payne’s boyfriend – whose identity has not been revealed, a hotel employee and a drug dealer.
