Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has spoken out after leading his team to a draw at FC Porto in the Europa League.
Oct 4, 2024 Erik ten Hag, the manager of the “Red Devils” Manchester United, praised his team after successfully tying FC Porto 3-3 in the Europa League last night, but said that the midfield and defense still need to improve.
Ten Hag said: “We started very well, we controlled the game, scored two goals, then lost possession. The midfield was not good, but we finished very well. It is a difficult place to come. We came from 2-3 down to 3-3. We have strong character but the midfield needs to improve.”
“We have to play better with the ball. We have good players, good game plan. We have to defend better. We had three clean sheets recently, so we can defend well. We have to get back to that.”
“Don’t judge us now, judge us at the end of the season. We had two seasons where we reached the final. We will improve. We will keep fighting.”
