“HE’S NOT CONTROL” Max Verstappen’s Uncontrolled Statements about NASCAR Driver Kyle Larson as the compared to each other
In America they insist: “Kyle Larson better than Verstappen. In F1 he would be close to him after 2 days”
– A heated debate continues in the U.S. over who would be the better driver between Kyle Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, and Max Verstappen. While Verstappen has remained silent on the matter, former NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, a 2014 Cup Series champion, has stepped in to support Larson.
– In his HarvickHappyHour podcast, Harvick emphasized Larson’s versatility, claiming that Larson could quickly adapt to Formula 1, while Verstappen would struggle to succeed in NASCAR.
“If Larson went to drive the car that drives Verstappen it would take a day or two to be damn close to Max Verstappen in terms of speed. But there would be no chance that Verstappen coming here will do the same with a stock car.”
– Harvick praised Verstappen’s talent but pointed out that Larson’s ability to race in multiple disciplines sets him apart, referencing Larson’s success in both NASCAR and IndyCar.
– Harvick also criticized the so-called “international” perspective, accusing non-American media of arrogance for underestimating Larson’s capabilities.
“I think Max would get some ok results, but he wouldn’t even come close to what Kyle Larson does. There’s a certain arrogance that comes from the international audience, from the media side, who says ‘Kyle Larson couldn’t do this’. But they don’t even know what they’re talking about.”
